Overview
InstaVault is an iPhone app for personal bookmarking, offline archiving, and export of Instagram content that you choose to save. Privacy is a core design goal.
What the app stores
Bookmarks, metadata, thumbnails, archive files, and related usage counters are stored locally on your device. InstaVault does not run a developer backend that stores your vault contents.
If you use supported universal links for `instavault-site.pages.dev`, the app extracts the Instagram URL from that link locally on device so it can route you into the same bookmark flow as a pasted link.
Instagram sign-in and session data
If you choose to connect an Instagram account, sign-in occurs through the official Instagram website shown in the app's web flow. InstaVault does not provide a custom password form and does not collect your Instagram password directly.
Session artifacts needed for supported authenticated access are kept locally using iOS storage and security mechanisms such as Keychain.
Photos and files
If you choose to export archived media, InstaVault may request permission to add items to your Photo Library. This permission is used only for the export action you initiate.
Purchases
Subscription purchases and restoration are handled by Apple through StoreKit. InstaVault does not receive your Apple ID credentials or full payment card details.
Analytics, tracking, and advertising
InstaVault does not include developer-side advertising, cross-app tracking, or a developer analytics backend for your vault content.
Third-party services
The app may communicate directly with Apple services for purchases and with Instagram endpoints needed to resolve or view the content you request. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies.
Children's privacy
InstaVault is not directed to children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the product and distribution setup evolve. Material changes should be reflected on this page before a new release is submitted.
