Help for setup, archiving, export, subscriptions, and privacy-related questions.

Getting started

  1. Open InstaVault on iPhone.
  2. Paste a supported Instagram post or reel link, or paste a message that contains one.
  3. Preview the post if it is new, then save the bookmark or choose Save and Archive.
  4. Open Vault to browse, search, rate, archive, or export saved media.
  5. Use Settings to restore purchases, redeem offer codes, or connect Instagram for restricted posts.

Optional Instagram sign-in

Some restricted Instagram content requires a valid Instagram session. Signing in is optional and happens through the official Instagram website inside the app's web flow.

InstaVault does not ask for or store your Instagram password directly. Session artifacts used by the app are stored locally.

Troubleshooting

  • Bookmark failed: confirm the URL is an Instagram post or reel link, not a profile or feed URL.
  • Sign-in required: some private or restricted posts now return a clear login-required error. Connect Instagram in Settings and try again.
  • No media available: the post may be unsupported, unavailable, or require a valid Instagram session.
  • Archive blocked: check your current monthly limit or upgrade from Settings.
  • Export unavailable: archive the media first, then use the export flow. Free and Plus do not get the direct image-save shortcut from detail view.
  • Photos save failed: confirm the app has permission to add items to your Photo Library.
  • Deep link did not open the app: Universal Links require the production site to host a valid `apple-app-site-association` file before iOS will route `instavault-site.pages.dev` links directly into the app.

Subscriptions

  • Free: 10 offline archives and 10 Photos exports per month.
  • Plus: 25 offline archives and 25 Photos exports per month.
  • Pro: unlimited offline archives, unlimited Photos exports, Files export, and direct Save to Photos for archived images.
  • Restore purchases: open Settings and use Restore Purchases.
  • Redeem an offer code: open Settings and use Redeem Offer Code on supported devices.
  • Billing: subscriptions are billed and managed through your Apple ID account.

Privacy and data handling

  • Your vault data is stored locally on your device.
  • InstaVault does not operate a developer backend that stores your saved posts or exported files.
  • Photo Library access is only used when you choose to save media to Photos.
  • Purchases are processed by Apple through StoreKit.
